It's that time again, back for another wonderful year at Charles W. Henry school!
Here in the Art department, we have many exciting and messy art projects planned for our students.
We will be working with paints, sculpture, markers, and other fun materials, so please send younger students with a smock (name written somewhere on smock) if there are any concerns about clothing. *A smock is not a guarantee that clothes will not be stained* :)
Students will need to bring a pencil, eraser, and preferably a pencil sharpener to each class. These will be used regularly. The supply list for more materials is listed below.
Upper school students (6th, 7th, and 8th grades):
You will also require a sketchbook. A sketchbook should have blank pages (not have any lines in it), and will also serve as a notebook. A traditional notebook, however, because of the lined pages, CAN NOT serve as the sketchbook. Sketchbook homework will be assigned regularly, and students will take notes on assignments and use the sketchbook for drafting / planning projects. Their sketchbook and homework grades will be part of their overall grade. Therefore please consider a spiral bound sketchbook, as these tend to last longer and are more durable than a glue bound book.
Please refer to this blog for homework assignments. Students will also be given their homework assignments in class.
