Students first practiced and drew their image on paper, then transferred them onto foam when they were ready.  In addition to discussing terminology and procedures for pulling a print, we discussed color combinations to accentuate the lines. Students had a wonderful time!

In progress 5th and 6th grade haunted scene print making

Students designed a scene to show a horizon line and objects receding, and then transferred that image to foam. From there they were able to print that plate using black ink onto colored paper. This image is from a 5th grade class, room 105.
